Composer | Melodiousness & Cinematic Sound
Alexey Komarov (also known as Alexey Brandner, his great-grandfather's surname) is a composer from Odessa, by the Black Sea. He holds a higher musical education and is a trained flutist with qualifications as a teacher, chamber ensemble performer, and soloist in an orchestra.
His music resists stylistic boundaries, embracing a cinematic approach. At the heart of his work lies a devotion to melodiousness, beauty, and expressiveness — values he unapologetically champions in an age often obsessed with trends.
Although not a trained pianist, Alexey relies on the piano to shape and test his ideas. His music is deeply inspired by beauty — whether in nature, art, or people — and driven by a longing for something noble in an often chaotic world. His background is rooted in music through both of his parents. His journey began at the age of five, during a family gathering, where he amused his relatives by pretending to conduct Paul Mauriat's orchestra as it played from his grandfather's record player — a classic vinyl turntable that was a source of fascination in the household.
Alexey believes his most important work is yet to come. Each composition invites the listener to discover their own meaning and emotion.
